Dear Friends,
As you know, we are approaching the end of ‘life as we know it’ here at Jackson Elementary School. Our last day, June 7, is only twelve weeks away!
And though we are sad and disappointed that our school is closing at the end of this school year, the staff and children here at Jackson School have decided to accept the things we cannot change and to make our final days here together as productive, meaningful, memorable, and fun filled as we possibly can. We are collectively, from our youngest kindergarten students to our graduating fifth graders, making lemonade of the lemons we’ve been served, and we want the families of all the children to be part of our celebration.
For the last six years Saul Serna and Jan Mansfield have implemented and sponsored the Just Bee Children’s Coaching Program here at Jackson, and we are happy to announce that they are continuing to work with all of us so that we can make the most of the rest of our time together.
Thought the school will be closed, the hearts and the desire for everyone in the school to be the best they can be is wide open. This special year, we will be coaching ALL the children and parents of the school, making it a “Grand Finale”.
We will have the last graduating class from Jackson school, and they are working hard as role models and mentors for everyone in the school.
We are providing a book and/or workbook to every student and we want to have a great celebration at the end of the school year… and the school as we know it. We will want everyone in the community to get involved and participate in this grand event of good character, caring and compassion…and if you wish to donate towards the celebration and the program fell free to do so, every dollar will help!!
